Run the web and cloud presence of the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security: a WordPress stack behind a custom ncs4-pro theme, a Knowledge Portal plugin for NCS4 Connect, and Gutenberg blocks the editorial staff compose with. Containerized the environment so the site rebuilds away from production, and wrote a spaCy parser turning APA citations into tagged CSV.

What I did

  • Took the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security off edit-in-production releases by containerizing the WordPress stack with Docker, so every change is built and reviewed away from the live site.
  • Gave editorial staff a publishing path that needs no developer by shipping a custom ncs4-pro theme, a Knowledge Portal plugin for NCS4 Connect, and composable Gutenberg blocks.
  • Turned unstructured APA reference lists into tagged CSV for the research team by writing a spaCy parser that extracts author, year, title and venue.
